Porsche 991.1 / 991.2 Carrera - DSC Sport V3 Controller for PASM
Description
Available for all 991 models fitted with PASM, the V3 Controller is a simple plug and play controller that replaces the factory PASM controller, offering both improved track performance and street comfort. Like all DSC Sport controllers, it allows users to tune by g-force, brake pressure, acceleration, speed, steering, and control the effective damping range via shock calibration. Additionally, the V3 Controller introduces a velocity table and magnetic motor mount tuning control.
The V3 Controller also introduces the ability to tune by velocity, made possible by the factory four wheel ride height sensors now equipped on all 991/981 models. Velocity tuning allows adjustment based on the velocity of the piston rod movement, more accurately tuning the chassis to road surface changes. This feature provides a new dimension of tuning that maximizes both performance and comfort.
For vehicles equipped with the (Porsche Dynamic Engine Mount) PDEM option, the V3 controller improves upon the magnetic motor mount control offered as an option from the factory. This is a vital improvement for precision handling in fast corners, high speed transitions, and rapid load changes.
Does the DSC Sport controller come preloaded with a file for my car?
Yes. DSC Sport spends countless hours testing and tuning before releasing support for any vehicle. Each DSC Sport controller comes from our facility loaded with a calibration file optimized for virtually all users. In most cases, minor suspension modifications, such as lowering springs for example, do not require updating the calibration file.
What are the Advantages of the Standard Map?
During cornering the front inside damper is always softer to allow climbing up to inside track curbing without upsetting the chassis.
During hard braking the front damper compression and rear damper rebound increase to help reduce dive to improve front and rear tire grip.
During initial cornering the damping starts out soft and then stiffen up relative to the amount of g-force to load the tires more progressively.
Does the DSC Sport allow softness and stiffness settings beyond those of stock?
Yes. Stock Normal mode is 20% stiffness. Stock Sport mode is 80% stiffness. DSC Normal mode is a range of 5% to 100% stiffness. DSC Sport mode is a range of 20% to 100%. DSC is active so it uses those ranges in each mode to the level of load to command individual shocks.
How do I swap or edit tuning files?
The DSC Sport controller is fully user definable. Download the DSC Sport Tuning Software Installer and follow the installation instructions to access the Tuning Software. From here you can read and edit your current file, write new files to the DSC, datalog, troubleshoot, and more. Check out our Software User Manual for help with navigating the software.
ABOUT DSC SPORT: Esteemed driver and engineer of TPC Racing, Michael Levitas, founded DSC Sport in 2011 with a vision to advance suspension technology into the digital era. For Levitas, who has an unwavering passion for sports cars and motorsport, track performance and street comfort are not mutually exclusive. For this reason, Levitas set out to engineer suspension solutions that not only provided optimum track performance, but would do so without sacrificing street comfort.
The DSC Sport V3 Controller is a plug-and-play factory replacement controller that provides Dynamic Suspension Control with unlimited tuning capability. Gathering CAN data from the vehicle in real time, DSC Sport sends a signal to each individual corner to control the damping level based on g-force, vehicle speed, brake / throttle input, and more. The result is an active suspension setup that provides more grip to the tire, greater stability and ride control, and increased comfort for all driving styles and road conditions.
FITMENT:
+ Fits all Porsche 991.1 and 991.2 Carrera vehicles with PASM (2012-2019)
WARRANTY: DSC Sport products are warrantied against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 year to the original purchaser and on the vehicle on which it was originally installed. Upon shipment, no refunds are possible.
