Airtec Intercooler
AIRTEC have gone through extreme testing with their intercoolers for the TFSI & TSI MQB EA888 platforms.
Available as two packages for MQB vehicles:
Intercooler Only
Intercooler & Big Boost Pipe Package
Tested at Time Attack UK, Nurburgring and dyno tested for accurate results. Stock intercooler temps run on average 64 degrees and peak to 68 degrees on the final run (5 runs). Temperature in at 156 degrees, a huge drop of 120 degrees with the AIRTEC intercooler fitted. A peak power increase of 40bhp due to the standard VAG intercooler being inefficient to cope with the extra heat generated for remapped cars and only designed to the standard 300 bhp.
With the AIRTEC intercooler fitted this brings the intake temperatures down so much to give a huge increase in performance.
